It is War Then!

It is time for God’s people to rise up and take a stand! For far too long, we have remained silent and allowed the little foxes to wreak havoc and pervert our nation. America was founded as and remains a Christian nation. How do we change the course of events that are sweeping us toward certain destruction?

Isaiah 41:14-16 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

The Lord tells us He will help us! He will make us sharp threshing instruments so that we may thresh the mountains and hills that stand before us. A full gospel businessman and a brother of mine conveyed this Word to us at our last prayer meeting (thank you Ken Smith!).

This is a word for warriors! How do you eat or consume a mountain? Why, one bite at a time of course. We attack and harass every mountain and hill that stands before us! Many of these mountains have been with us a very, very long time – before we were ever born. Abortion, addiction, pornography, same-sex marriage and the child sex-slave trade are all strongholds we must pull down through prayer.

Zechariah 4:7  Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

Habakkuk 3:12  Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

Micah 4:13  Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

We have a more sure Word from the Lord! He has given us the weapons we need to fight and defeat our enemies. Threshing is a slow, methodical process where the good is separated and winnowed from the bad. Threshing is to strike repeatedly so as to separate the seed from the husk. We are to strike repeatedly until the mountains and hills that stand before us are beaten down. This also reminds me of the process to make sand. It is a slow methodical grinding of stone upon stone that creates sand.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

It always struck me as extremely important that God called Gideon while he was threshing wheat:

Judges 6:11-12 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

Over and over again, the images of threshing are used to show us how to respond to the enemy and his attacks; and how to counter-attack and defend against the onslaught aimed at God’s people and His ways. We are to stand against evil in every form. We are to pray against evil and all it’s devices. We are to continually and repeatedly strike against evil until it crumbles and is blown away in the wind just as the chaff from threshing is winnowed.

Joshua 10:8  And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

Psalms 18:42  Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

Judges 6:16  And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

You see, the battle is still the Lords! The battle between good and evil rages on and is intensifying as we near the end of all things. Everything good will be assaulted. Everything good will be called and classified as bad and evil. Everything evil will be venerated and lifted up as acceptable, even called good. No moral standing will be allowed to remain undefiled. Unless we arise and declare “No more!”

Judges 7:7  And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.

God selected and chose those who drank with their heads and eyes up; not those whose eyes and gaze was down toward the water. God knew who He wanted and He chose those who were watching. He is the lifter of our heads!

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

We must stand and fight against the tide of evil that is coming against our homeland! We must get up every single day and pray against the wickedness we see.

• Pray that God will abolish abortion in all its forms!
• Pray that God will remove same-sex marriage in all its forms.
• Pray the God will expose everyone involved in any way with, and dry up all the finances of the child sex-slave trade and pornography industries.
• Pray that God will break the cycle of addiction in families.
• Pray that God will release all those you know and care about from every form of addiction.
• Pray that God will touch the hearts, souls and spirits of every elected official in this land and turn them toward righteousness and toward His agenda.
• Pray that God will open the eyes of all those who are deceived into believing the lie that is being foisted upon us so they can see the truth!

Bind the forces of evil, cancel their assignments and cast them into the pit! Don’t be dismayed or discouraged! Continue to bind every evil entity, cancel its right to exist and harass God’s people. Then, speak life into situations and people. Do good. Do the right thing in every situation. Call forth that which is not as though it was. Declare God’s kingdom and do the works He has set before us.

God heard the cries of His people in Egypt and sent Moses to free them! God turned the Nazi invasion of England back to the eastern front because of dedicated and concentrated prayer (Rees Howells Intercessor by Norman Grubb). God hears the prayers of His people and He always answers!

We must not be dismayed or deterred! We must not faint! Pray every day! Pray and watch the mountains begin to crumble and quake shaking with fear! We are God’s threshing instruments specifically placed where we are for a time such as this! We are a mighty and valiant army of warriors who will not back off or back down in the face of any threat! We will pray! We will stand and watch the Lord deliver us! He is our defender!

Psalms 18:2-3 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Father, please give us eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying! Help us to stand our watch with vigor and steadfastness. Help us Father to never give in, and never give up! Holy Spirit, please bring us into one accord and help us to pray as we should. Help us oh Lord! You said you would help us and we are counting on you Lord! Please give us wisdom in these matters of war and help us to direct our prayers where you would have us to focus. Help us oh Lord! Help us oh Lord! The battle is yours Lord! Help us to get into position and to stand so we can see you deliver us yet again! Please help us Father to become mighty threshing instruments that wreak great havoc on our enemies! In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray! Amen!
