Where Favor Flows Freely

On the way to our weekly prayer meeting, yesterday at 6 am, I was praising God for His goodness, His mercy and His loving kindness. I praised Him for the opportunity to worship Him with like minded people who loved Him as I do, and He said:

“Where My favor flows freely.”

It really struck me and I had to pull over and make a note of it. Later, I searched the Word for a reference and I believe this verse is still producing fruit today:

Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

A few days earlier, I shared my testimony about being a man who walked in the favor of the Most High. This is not because of anything special about me, but because of the love God has towards me. You see, I know God loves me and that He loves me a great deal. For the life of me, I often wonder why, but there is no escaping the fact that God does love me and He pours out His blessings upon me continually. Everything I have or have ever had that was good came from God. The Holy Spirit drew me, wooed me and pursued me until I turned and really saw Jesus! I walk in His favor because I am utterly sold out to Jesus and I honestly try to obey God in every way I can, every day and I love Him more and more as I see His goodness and kindness manifested all around me on a daily basis.

Psalms 5:12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

I really believe God’s Word. Every bit of it! For me, the book of Romans is key. Especially Romans 6, 7 and 8. Just this week, the Lord really emphasized something for me I had not seen before. You see, when we choose to receive Jesus there is a transaction that occurs in the Spirit where we are made free from sin, evil and temptation.

Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

We are not exempt from these things, but we are free from them. We may stumble and fall, but all we have to do is confess our sin to God and ask for His forgiveness and He promises to forgive us! We will never be beyond the range of temptation until we go home, or the Lord returns for us, but we are free from it if we choose to be free from it. I teach others that no matter what the sin is that we are most tempted by, if we are dead to it, we will not rise to it. It can be addictions, greed, lust or pride. If we declare and believe we are dead to it – we will not rise to it! You see, we receive everything by faith. We must believe!

1 John 1: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We need to know who we are in Christ. When I go to church, it is very important for me to get there in time for worship because I am going to worship God. In fact, I attend an awesome church named the Praise Center (http://www.praisecenterpicturerocks.com) here in our community with a pastor and a congregation that are passionate about worship. King David who wrote a good share of the Psalms was called ‘a man after my own heart’ by God. David was an avid worshipper of God. The tabernacle of David is a tabernacle of worship! At our weekly prayer meeting, we always open with worship and while it may not be the most contemporary music, it is always heartfelt and sincere, passionate and full of love for our Father. We worship in spirit and truth for God is worthy of it. I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who really know how to worship the Lord.

We are the sons and daughters of God! We walk in His favor! When we come together and worship Him in spirit and truth, then we can walk in a place where His favor flows freely!

Praise God! Praise God! Praise God for His mercy and goodness! Praise Him for He is an amazing, magnificent, merciful and mighty God! Father, we adore you and love you with all our hearts and souls! We adore and love you with all our minds and all our might! We will adore and love you for all eternity and we will worship and honor you forever for you are worthy of it! Oh, bless the Lord oh my soul! Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together!
