Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
When I saw this, this morning it struck me hard – really hard. If this is what I think it is – and I really believe it is – then, most of the church today is at extreme risk. Who in the body of Christ is discerning enough to see how broken and lame the church is? We count on the Lord to defend us, and our children. Yet, are we doing our part? Are we sold out to Him? Is He really number one in our lives? Who do we really worship?
Who is willing to step into the gap and stand up for the church? Who will take the blows the enemy throws at the church and stand for righteousness no matter what it costs? Even if those blows come from within the church? Sometimes, I feel like Jeremiah in that no one is listening nor do they want to hear what the Lord is saying to the churches today. But, what if we are not listening, not obeying and only using the Lord to further our own agendas?
Psalm 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
and
Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Has Christianity become so organized, so enamored of its buildings, plans and programs that it can no longer hear the voice that calls, woos and whispers to us? Is there a remnant left who will walk in the shadow of death and declare the Word of the Lord?
For those who are sold out to Jesus, they and their loved ones will be remembered, protected and cherished by the Holy One of Israel. For those who are playing some religious game, I don’t think God is amused by this and it scares me that He said if we were lukewarm He would spew us out of His mouth.
We stand on the precipice of all eternity ~ there is a reckoning coming and it will begin with the church! If your heart is not right with God, get right, right now! The urgency of this message cannot be conveyed adequately with words! I sense great changes coming and the western church has much to answer for and frankly, it is not ready. We are called to destroy the works of the enemy!
Dear heavenly awesome and marvelous Father, we adore you and love you with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and all our might. We worship you Lord – for you alone are worthy of all our love and worship. Father, please awaken your church and set them up on their feet. Prepare us for the battle that is coming and give us courage and wisdom to step into the gap and fight the good fight of faith. Give us words of knowledge and wisdom, and reveal the plans of the enemy as well as the means to thwart their advance. Help us to stay the course until the very end and not grow faint or weary. Father, we need you! Please save our land and our people! In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen!
