No Grumbling or Arguing

Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

God’s word is so amazing! He knows we need reminders not to do these things. We are his children – children of the Most High. He expects us to become more and more like his son Jesus – the suffering servant. Jesus never complained, grumbled or argued. He spoke the truth and confronted those who thought they were superior. Even then, he did it in love.

We can do the same. We don’t have to let the cares or wiles of this world weigh us down. After all, we are only passing through down here – this is not home. We can walk in integrity, in sincerity and honesty. We should be gentle and kind to all those we encounter for most are on the road to destruction though they know it not. People are either In Christ or completely lost without Him! Either way, we do not know their struggles or the giants they face. But, we do know without Jesus – there is no hope, no future and no promise.

So, do the right thing in every situation – every day. None of us know when we will be called home so we need to be ready at all times. This world will never accept us but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that in the end we hear ‘well done thou good and faithful servant!’

Thank you Father for Jesus! Thank you Father for your Word! Thank you Father that we know the end of the story and you win! Thank you Father for your amazing loving-kindness which is better than gold or silver! Thank you Father for another day to reach out to the lost, the bound and the infirm. Help us do the works you have assigned us without complaining and to walk in love and harmony with your Spirit! I pray in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen!
