Favor is such a wonderful notion! Have you ever stopped and really considered favor and all it holds for us? Favor is defined as approval, support and preference! When we walk in the favor of the most high, we have his approval, his support and his preference! Surely, this is more than we deserve.
I have been praying for favor for others ever since I realized that I was walking in the favor of the Most High! I know I didn’t deserve it, but I was so thankful for it! This is such a blessing – to know and receive the approval, support and preference of God!
Proverbs 11:27 He who diligently seeks good procures favor (MEV)
I have prayed for years that the Lord would help me to do the right thing at all times, even when it cost me dearly. It reminds me of another verse:
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good—
and what does the Lord require of you,
but to do justice and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
When we do this – we procure favor! We get favor by our actions and efforts to do right when we seek after good. Search the bible for favor – I found 127 verses (MEV) that describe favor. Most were references to the phrase ‘if I have found favor in your sight’. Yet, there is keen insight to be gained by studying these references…
So, in all your ways seek good. Ask the Lord to help you to do the right thing in every situation! No matter what it costs, do the right thing. Help the weak, the oppressed and the infirm. Give abundantly and it will be returned to you with favor! Favor is amazing and it is to be highly desired. We really can’t earn it, but we can certainly position ourselves to be able to receive it because it is the Good Fathers great pleasure to bless us with his favor!
Father, I pray for all those reading this – that you will bestow your awesome favor upon them and bless them coming and going, bless their baskets and their storehouses, bless the fruit of their endeavors and their homes. Make them to lie down in peace and sleep sweetly and rest in your loving embrace. I pray Father that you will make favor so tangible to them that they will feel it everywhere they turn and wherever your Spirit leads them. I pray that they will know that they are walking in the favor of the Most High and declare that from the rooftops! I also pray Lord that they will be so mindful of your favor that they will see it before it arrives and thank you and praise you for it before it manifests! Let your loving kindness and divine favor surround them like a shield and hold them in every situation. I pray in the matchless mighty name of Jesus, the Holy Anointed One! Amen!
