Free!

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, He condemned sin in the flesh.

Jesus, He paid the price in full! He endured the weight and ugliness of all of our sin that we might be made free! He suffered the penalty we deserved so we wouldn’t have to!

John 8:36 Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.

The Son has set us free and there is now no condemnation for those of us who believe – those who are in Christ Jesus! What a wonderful truth this is! Our old man was crucified on the cross with Jesus and the righteous Holy Son of God dealt with our sin issue once for all. Jesus said ‘It is finished.’ And, so it is for those who believe and have received Jesus.

What a savior! What a God! Never, in all our dreams could we have imagined all Jesus has already done for us. We are not sinners, saved by grace. We were sinners, but the old man was crucified and died a just death! Now, we are alive in Christ Jesus and all we have to do is abide in him!

Christmas – this is what it is about – the man, the God Jesus who came, lived and died as a man and was raised back to life! Now, we have new life in Him and we will be with him forever! Jesus prayed in John 17

John 17:20  “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You. May they also be one in Us, that the world may believe that You have sent Me. 22 I have given them the glory which You gave Me, that they may be one even as We are one: 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfect in unity, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

We are one! And, Jesus lives in us and through us! All we need do is abide in that – no more struggle or strife, or repercussion.

Praise God! Praise the Lord with all your being, with all your mind and all your might for He is worthy of it! We thank you Father for Jesus! We thank you that He was your plan from the very beginning and that you have saved us! We thank you Father for calvary and for the resurrection! The depths of all this is so great, it’ll take a lifetime to really understand it – if we ever do! We bless you Lord, we adore you Lord! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For Jesus, in Jesus and through Jesus! Amen!
