Sound the Trumpet!

Point the lost to the cross of Jesus Christ, the messiah, for they are doomed without him!

Though they do not know it, they are lost beyond redemption unless they turn and receive Jesus. There is no easy way to say this, no gentle way to let them down.  Every time we are timid and afraid to speak the truth we condemn people to hell. Everyone of us is charged with the responsibility to reach out to the lost and reveal Jesus to them.

If we knew Jesus was returning for his church this Sunday – how many would call everyone they know who wasn’t saved and born again, and try to offer them life? We have been given an awesome responsibility and opportunity, and we must not shirk this. People’s lives, their very souls depend on us to make that connection for them with their savior. If not us, who? If not now, when?

This is a tough time of year for me – I hate halloween – devil’s night. I am so surprised and dismayed at how many Christians are caught up in the worship of the evil one, and how many are already sacrificing their children to this abysmal and dismal holiday.

Sorry to be so morbid, but time is short and growing shorter and the church is still playing games and cozying up to the enemy.

Dear heavenly Father, please forgive us for not sensing and responding to the urgency of our times for our brothers and sisters lost in this dark world. Please forgive us for not discerning the times and seasons and please forgive us for sleeping with the enemy. Help us Lord! Open our eyes to see the truth and our ears to hear your Spirit. Give us courage and tenacity to stand against all that is not of you and to reach out in love to all those perishing around us. I pray in the mighty matchless name of Jesus! Amen!
