[Revelation 21:5 KJV] 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
The Lord does indeed make all things new! It is amazing to me how every day feels like a new beginning, how spring leaps forth and makes everything lush and beautiful in a matter of days. God is so very, very good!
Have you ever longed for a new start? Have you wanted to just pull up stakes and start over completely? I often wanted a do-over – so I could make amends or simply do the right thing after another epic character failure.
This morning, during my walk, I observed lilac bushes in full bloom in a wide array of colors, spectacular daffodils, pansies and tulips in all their glory, dogwood trees in majestic and magnificent displays of color; and the thought struck me just how awesome and beautiful our world is. Spring is simply spectacular ~ glorious and so full of life and renewal.
And, our lives can be like that too! All we have to do is surrender to Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God and receive the new-man…
[Ephesians 4:20-24 NKJV] 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Oh Lord! How wondrously loving and kind you are to us! We thank you and praise you for you have made all things, and you give us so many chances to turn to you and receive your miraculous loving-kindness. You bless us every day with food for our bodies, and our souls and spirits. You are life! You are the light, and the life and the way! We adore you and praise you! Let every breath we draw glorify you and your magnificent name! In Jesus’ marvelous name! Amen!
