As I was preparing breakfast this morning, cutting an apple that was perfectly ripe without blemish, I was reminded that the Lord ordained that this apple would be grown, picked and shipped to my area and that I would buy it and enjoy it. The same thing occurs whenever we delight in something for the Word tells us that
[Psalm 37:4 KJV] 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Every good thing that comes to us comes from the Father of Lights – in whom there is no shadow of turning! We limit God in so many ways – I don’t want to bother him with this issue as it’s so small and only affects me, or the Lord must be too busy to care about my prayers, or the Lord is just too busy to be concerned about my problems.
Nothing could be further from the truth! The Lord is Lord of all! He is the Lord of all creation and everything was, is and will be done for His pleasure and His glory. He knew us before He set the foundations of the world in place. He predestined us to come into His kingdom and become His children. No matter how tall the mountain is, or deep the channel – He is there to help us scale it, climb over it and overcome it!
The tapestry of all of our lives is still being woven together just as He saw it, and ordained it to be – though so much is still yet to occur. He set the stars in their rotations, and numbered the grains of sand on the beach, as well the number of hairs on each of our heads. There is nothing too big, too small or too cumbersome for Him! For He is Lord of all! He orchestrates all of this with ease because He is the Great I AM!
The Lord is a good, good Father but He is no pushover. He is Holy and He is righteous in all His ways. He will not be mocked; He will not be overcome or undone; and, He will not share His glory with any! But, for those who love Him – oh, the joys that are set before us! We have such wonderful promises.
[Romans 8:28 KJV] 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
[Romans 8:37-39 KJV] 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God loves us and He is for us! All the way! He is all in! He gave His one and only begotten Son for us! When we give thanks for our meals and for everything else, please remember to give thanks first for God Himself – Father, Son and Holy Spirit! What a God! What a wonderful, loving and caring Father He is! Bring all your cares to Him and cast all your worries and doubts upon him…
[1 Peter 5:6-7 NKJV] 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, how awesome, wondrous and amazing you are! We love you Lord and we thank you and praise you for all you have done, all you are currently doing and for all you will do for us – the heirs of salvation! We bless your Holy name Lord! We adore you and want to glorify your name for all eternity! Thank you Lord! Thank you Jesus! Thank you dear Holy Spirit! We rejoice in your names and in your presence Lord, just as Paul said – Rejoice in the Lord always! Hallelujah! Amen!
