I had a notion this morning that it was time to pray for all those who are against us and hate America. Then, I read Al Robertson’s blog
article on what healed their marriage, so the deal was sealed right there. I also received word that I should be praying for one despot in the world – still waiting on further leading for that…
[Mat 5:44-45 NKJV] “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”
With that, and looking at how Jesus reacted to all the injustice He endured, how can I not pray for those who hate us? This for all foreign and domestic enemies of our land.
Dear heavenly Father, I hold up and pray for all those who hate America and Americans, who hate our way of life, who hate our form of government and who hate us for any other reason. I ask you Lord to forgive them and bless them. Send the rain and sunshine they need. Send people across their paths to remind them of your loving kindness, your generosity and your unfailing steadfastness. Open their eyes Lord, lift the veil and reveal Jesus to them in all His magnificent glory. Send ambassadors to remind them of how good You are Lord. Woo them by Your Spirit, continue to draw them and their loved ones until they turn and receive Jesus! I ask You Lord to bless their baskets, their homes, their relationships and everything they set their hands to so they may know that there is a real God who cares about them. Do it in such a way Lord that they can’t deny it was You! Leave no room for doubt!
Soften their hearts Lord – convict them of the evil they think and do – in their innermost person and then turn them from it. Help them to lay down the gauntlet, to drop their weapons and surrender to Your love! Help them to see the hole in their hearts can only be filled by Your love – by Jesus! I ask You Lord to forgive them unconditionally and not hold any of their wrong doings against them — just as You have done for me. I bind every evil and demonic entity behind them, driving them to further outrages in Jesus’ name! I cut off all that evil at it”s root – I lay the axe to all those roots and sever them completely right now in Jesus’ name. I speak light, life and health into all the hearts and bodies, souls and spirits of all these people in Jesus’ name. Father! Have Your way in all of them! Draw, restore and rebuild! Jesus came that we might have life to the full! He came to destroy the works of darkness and we agree and stand with You in doing just that! By Your Spirit Father! By Your Spirit! In Jesus’ name, amen!
